Dr. Tatsiana Palavets is an optometrist in New York City with a dual Doctor of Optometry and Master’s in Vision Sciences from the SUNY College of Optometry. Originally from Eastern Europe, she combines a strong clinical background with a keen interest in research to provide comprehensive, evidence-based eye care.
During her clinical training, Dr. Palavets gained experience in ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, binocular vision, vision therapy, and both pediatric and adult primary care. Her particular interests include cosmetic and specialty contact lenses, dry eye management, and the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease.
Dr. Palavet’s master’s research examined the effects of blue-blocking versus neutral density filters on digital eye strain, strengthening her skills in critical thinking, data analysis, and scientific communication. She has published her findings in a peer-reviewed journal and presented her work at the American Academy of Optometry in Chicago.
